American Idol starts off with a big bang tonight on Fox, at 8PM. Of course we will get to see the auditions! This season though, American Idol is being more selective, showing us more quality auditions than they have done in the past.

Kara DioGuardi, the newest judge on American Idol told us to keep an eye on a few of the guys this season. Some very strong contenders will be fighting for stardom. More soul infused musical choices than in past seasons, are expected to dominate.

Randy Jackson told Ellen DeGeneres, on her show just now; this season of American Idol has more real talent than any previous season.

All things considered, this new season of American Idol will have a few minor/ major changes. More contestants get to go to Hollywood, but they really have to step things up quickly, because the numbers are going to be eliminated a lot faster than every before. The “Wild Card” is coming back this season. This allows one of the judges to bring back a contestant that gets eliminated, this season of American Idol. Also, they will have immediate interviews with the contestants, right after they are judged.

It will be interesting to see Kara DioGuardi at work, as the newest judge for American Idol. There were rumors that Kara was not really fitting in very well with the other judges, particularly, Simon Cowell was not welcoming Kara with open arms.

According to more recent news, Kara DioGuardi is a very welcome addition to American Idol. We can only hope that Kara can keep her eyes open, when the Idol gets live. Kara did not quit her day job and is working almost non-stop to keep everything balanced.
